Dane Beesley is a Brisbane-based contemporary photographer recognised for his distinct visual storytelling. After graduating from photography college, he spent a decade immersing himself in Australia’s vibrant music scene, regularly contributing to Rolling Stone magazine. This period culminated in his first book, Splitting the Seconds: A Photographer’s Journal, a captivating visual narrative of the era.

Transitioning from photojournalism to the fine art realm with his acclaimed series Shades, Beesley captures crisp skies, painterly landscapes, and award-winning, soulful portraiture that balances technical precision with deep artistic vision.

In 2025, Dane was selected to be featured in the Thames & Hudson publication Exposure: Contemporary Photographers in Australia & New Zealand, by Amber Creswell Bell.
