In 2020, Covid-19 meant universities had to reinvent their traditional open days. The mainstay of the tertiary education calendar went ‘virtual’, except for one. Bond University, a boutique Independent bucked the trend. In a year when everyone else zigged, they zagged, making their open day more personal, more intimate than ever before.
Bond University held the most personalised Open Day ever. Students could curate their own private two-hour experience on-campus to meet with academics, take a personal escort around campus, hear in-depth program information and experience Bond first-hand. When everyone else went virtual, Bond demonstrated their high touch, personalised approach with a human experience like no other.
The campaign, ‘Personal Open Day – Created Just for You’, took an equally disruptive approach with a series of thumb-stopping, colourful pop-art illustrations to communicate the uniqueness of the event. And, it worked, with 40% of attending prospective students enrolling later that year.
