Brill Coffee Single Origin Range

Brill Coffee is a premium freeze-dried coffee (read ‘instant coffee’, but actually tasty) and a new entrant in the absurdly competitive Australian specialty coffee industry.

Our team of Branding and Creative Strategists were appointed to help this nimble start-up develop a brand name, identity and packaging range that would be sold direct to consumers via their Shopify site, plus through a wholesale network of specialty coffee shops down Australia’s eastern seaboard.

Our brief was to develop packaging that justified the expensive price tag, and made people want to buy it online without having the chance to sample it.
Using the principles of good flag design (Vexillology), we developed the graphics from simple geometry and bold colours.

For the single origin range, consisting of an Ethiopian, Colombian and Guatemalan, we reimagined the designs of the flags from the regions the coffee was grown.
