It is easy to create a visually indulgent user interface design, especially for clients in the creative arts industries, but this often comes at the cost of the user’s experience. This brief was not about finding a good compromise between form and function, but rather an optimal synthesis where the form (and forms!) served the function. The new Brisbane Powerhouse website needed to not only provide a highly functional and responsive discovery portal for a diverse arts scene, but also integrate with third party platforms such as Ticketek to deliver a simple and intuitive booking experience.
