PROBLEM

Pets enrich our lives in countless ways, yet they can’t communicate when unwell. Unexpected vet bills overwhelm pet owners and strain vets. Pets hold a special place in Australian hearts, offering companionship, independence, and unconditional love. Many don’t realise some pets suffer from serious conditions like skin cancer. In Australia, unexpected vet bills cost uninsured pet owners $3.5 Billion annually, creating financial strain, especially with the surge in new pet owners post-pandemic.

IDEA

In response, we partnered with Budget Direct to create BudPet, a personal, intuitive tool with a heart. Developed with veterinarians and pet owners, BudPet simplifies complex veterinary science into easy language. Designed for 101 dog breeds and 21 cat breeds, the BudPet web app empowers owners with comprehensive knowledge and practical solutions, addressing dietary, exercise, and holistic wellbeing.
