We created the Care Army – a call for volunteers to help the elderly and vulnerable during the Covid pandemic. Over 30,000 people volunteered within the first few days. And the Care Army has since helped thousands of Australians including the dramatic rescue of an 84-year-old Queensland woman who had fallen in her home and wouldn’t have been helped unless the Care Army had been activated.
