**Brief**

Founded in 2018, John Kyle began as a specialty coffee shop in Buderim, Sunshine Coast. By 2023, they expanded to Maroochydore, aiming to be one of Queensland’s must-visit cafes. Our objective was to elevate their brand to attract travellers from South-East Queensland and beyond.

**Idea/Execution **

Through research we found that John Kyle’s defining value to customers was their family-like service, offering all patrons a home away from home. This comfort allowed customers to let their guard down, have fun, and try new things.

Our illustration of ‘JK’ is the brand’s icon and symbolises the idea of confidence and stepping outside your comfort zone. The bold wordmark, and vibrant Forest Green and Sand colour palette create a playful, cheeky, and down-to-earth vibe that communicates the feeling of being part of the JK family. This fun and approachable personality was reflected in the tone of voice throughout the rollout.
