I produced, wrote, directed, shot and posted this piece. No crew – just me, the camera and the client.
I spent a total of 4 days on King Island, with Heidi Weitjens, shooting on a very lean, travel kit, on account of the tiny plane I was flying on and the crazy luggage weight and space restrictions. So my kit was consisting of a RED Helium, a bunch of EF stills lenses, a few dirty old lens elements and diopters for some optical weirdness (which I love), an easy rig and a tripod. My lighting kit was three palm-sized, travel RGB LED lights, a single 1×1 daylight LED panel, a Lowel Tota 700W Tungsten fitting – and some dirty collapsible scrims. Oh, and a Canon r5 with a converted plastic Holga lens for the old style stuff which is shot at 1/15s. Dirty. But I’m proud of the outcome. ♂️
