I produced this piece from inception to delivery.
I sought to bring the story of Casa Aceves to life with a mixture of elevated dramatic imagery and documentary style coverage so as not to lose authenticity of visuals.
Shot with a small travel kit of lighting, consisting 4 2; tubes, a creamsource micro, an aputure 300C and a MC Pro kit – a single camera assistant and myself took on Mexico for 4 days to bring this together. We battled average weather and the difficulties of a booked and unyielding trip schedule and the challenges of not speaking spanish.
Always seeking to represrent the feeling of each scene truly and create colourful texture and vibrancy, reminiscent of Mexico itself.
This was a really fun job, where nearly every scene and visual was crafted from an idea and a mental image. No visual references of other work were used at any stage.
