A local, organic rum years in the making — Nil Desperandum is the embodiment of the spirit of the Sunny Coast. Latin for ‘nothing to despair’ Nil Desperandum was the name of Woombye’s very first pub, a Cobb & Co waystation. It’s a name that apparently resonated then as it does now. The packaging is clean, simple and flexible — but has its roots in tradition, meaning and fun. Bold, gold and white type commands attention and cuts an unmistakable presence. A cast metal black snake respects local heritage. And a playful inverted line in black reminds us that even when empty, there’s nothing to despair. Variations, batches and blends are highlighted in the changeable paper ribbon label.
