For this campaign, I didnt want to use paid agency models, I wanted real employees with real stories to tell. First we interviewed each of the Feros staff and tried to get a better understanding of their personality and also what is their favourite hobby. Are you a surfer, do you like fishing, are you in a band etc We thought this could lead to a portrait idea and also make them feel comfortable on shoot day. Zhara, One of the girls I interviewed, was a skateboarder who lived at home with her parents while she was studying. I asked to meet at her favourite skatepark so I could watch her skate and get to know her. I noticed she was shy, reserved but confident… which in the end helped me understand how I wanted to shoot her. I think all of these small elements were our keys to victory.
