Fire ants are an imported pest that threaten our environment, economy and way of life. Their stings are incredibly painful and can even result in death.
Yet while the dangers of termites, snakes and spiders are well-understood, fire ants have crept in under the radar. We needed a simple way to highlight that our much-loved outdoors lifestyle is at risk. So we created a visual twist on various objects – a serrated edge here, a nasty barb there – to show that nowhere is safe from fire ants.
