After a year of droughts, fires, floods and the impacts of COVID, Queensland women were more disconnected and disempowered than ever. We needed to find a way to unite and inspire them to boost their wellbeing. So, to reconnect and remind them of the power of togetherness, we told the stories of eight unique Queensland women who’d found ways to rise above adversity. By doing so, we fuelled a newfound collective strength and showed Queensland women that despite being apart, they were together in-kind. They were Queenslandhers. Each story was driven by social media and directed viewers back to the Health & Wellbeing Queensland website where they could access vital resources to boost wellbeing. The Queenslandher campaign reached more than half a million Queensland women, with a quarter of a million engaging with the content. Our campaign ultimately proved that even the toughest of times aren’t tougher than a Queenslandher.
