This title sequence is an eclectic mix of varying quality media from diverse sources including news footage (both real and fake), social media influencers (in faked YouTube channels), stock footage and CGI.
The brief was to bring a visual cohesiveness to the mixed-media chaos in the style of damaged streaming media.
With a final delivery resolution of 4k, motion graphics techniques were employed to not only disguise the low resolution source footage, some of which were as low as standard definition, but also degrade the high resolution media to give everything a consistent appearance.
