Splendour In The Grass

Splendour In The Grass is one of Australia’s biggest music festivals, securing some of the world’s biggest artists. The wrap-up video, therefore, needed to convey this reality and create the ultimate envy for those not in attendance.
Over the course of 3 days, 10 cameras rolled on every act and lifestyle activity. This meant that there was an incredible amount of footage to sort through in various formats. Despite this, fast decisions made at a high standard were required in order to turnaround the video shortly after the event.
The pacing of the edit ebbs and flows, with fast visual cuts matching the energy of the crowd, slower cuts show the scale whilst also allowing the edit to breathe. Other media sources (360 video, timelapses, hyperlapses, handycam) were also used to maintain the freshness of the edit. The end product is an epic story showcasing a successful festival.
