Sunshine & Sons – a distillery on the Sunshine Coast – needed a design for their Original Dry Gin that captured the promise and memory of Queensland’s beautiful subtropical coast. Inspired by old fashioned postcards, the diecut deckled edge subtly adds nostalgia. A textured, faded fabric pattern of Hibiscus flowers and pineapples engage the senses and is evocative of a lazy afternoon in an old beach shack. Green metallic foil enhances the burst of light feeling of the logo as well as the rainforests of the Sunshine Coast. ‘Nil Desperandum’ in subtle build-varnish across the front, hinting at the message-in-a-bottle style backstory on the reverse side of the label.
