Following a successful 13 year AFL career, Zac Smith was looking to swap the footy fields for coffee grounds. Setting out on his coffee roasting journey, he required an effective brand identity to launch this new endeavour.

Focusing on craftsmanship and quality, Tallboy strives to foster strong relationships, make a positive impact and be at the heart of a thriving community. The new Tallboy brand identity needed to convey the high quality product offering whilst setting a humble, playful, inclusive and community-focused personality.

We looked to create a fun, laid-back yet high-quality brand identity that reflected the brand name and played on Zac’s most identifiable feature – his unmissable height. Reflecting Zac’s laid back personality, the Tallboy brand conveys an optimistic, fun sense of personality that doesn’t take itself too seriously.

As part of this project, we designed a range of coffee packaging and brought to life an intuitive e-commerce website.
