Vertigo is Australia’s first vertical restaurant, perched 17 metres up on the side of the Brisbane Powerhouse.
Our brief was to create a brand from the ground up, balancing the elegance of fine dining and the adventure of eating on the edge.
Inspired by the structure of the wall and the restaurant seating placement, we created a mark that blends form, function and feeling.
The verticality of the condensed lettering conjures the scale of the Powerhouse wall, with the modified “T” representing the unforgettable setting. Ever versatile the mark can be stretched to fill the space and shape of the vessel it inhabits, much like the feeling of Vertigo itself.
Taking cues from the night sky palette, we amped the dusk tones with image treatments to build on the feeling of dining suspended in the night air.
The Vertigo brand has reached great heights, being featured in media internationally.
