Vicki Lee – Production Craft Award

Vicki Lee – Retired 2026
Executive Producer, Publicis Worldwide | BADC Hall of Fame

In 2026, after a career that left Queensland’s creative industry permanently better than she found it, Vicki Lee retired from her role as Executive Producer at Publicis Worldwide. A member of the BADC Hall of Fame, the Production Craft Award is named in her honour.

Vicki’s career is unlike almost anyone else’s in this industry. She is one of a handful of producers who has worked with genuine mastery across all three pillars of production: agency, post-production, and production company. She worked across Australia and the UK across more than three decades.

Her career took her from agencies including Mojo (Publicis Brisbane’s predecessor) to the famed production house The Best Picture Show, known for the Crocodile Hunter series. She held senior roles at two of Brisbane’s leading post-production houses, The Post Lounge and Cutting Edge. In 2012 she returned to her spiritual home in Publicis Brisbane, where she led production across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, touching nearly every type of business and brand the agency served.

Vicki produced award-winning work. She mentored multiple generations of producers. She proved, definitively, that a great producer is not a coordinator but a creative force: the person whose decisions about budget, suppliers, locations, and problem-solving determine whether a brilliant idea is realised brilliantly, or just adequately.

Beyond her producing career, Vicki’s involvement and support of BADC spans more than 25 years. For the last 15 of those she has given her time and expertise consistently as an integral honourary committee member: assisting with judging, shaping the awards, and contributing to the organisation in ways that go far beyond the work she produced.

This award exists because of what she built, and because the producers who follow in her footsteps deserve a home in this industry’s most important creative awards.
