Ian Anderson

Animation Director & Storyboard Artist

Ian is a talented Animator, Illustrator and Storyboard Artist with 30 years of experience. His career began at the legendary animation studio of Richard Williams, before moving to Sydney to join Disney Television. He is now Cutting Edge’s Animation Director.

Ian has developed recognisable and lovable characters for brands, film and television projects. Ian is an AEAF Award winning Animation Director and character designer, winning gold for his work on the Commonwealth Games mascot, ‘Borobi’. His popular characters include ‘Steve’ for Betadine, ‘Hogster’ for Hog’s Breath Cafe, as well as Rugby Australia’s Qantas Wallabies mascot ‘Wally’.

He brings a unique perspective and combines his experience in 3D and “old-school” animation, resulting in highly individual animated work.
