BIG SALE, BIG CHALLENGE
The annual A.P. Eagers Car sale is Queensland’s Biggest Car Sale, running for three days across 35 dealerships. Because the sale involves so many dealerships, we couldn’t give specific savings or specials. It was all about hyping how big the sale was.
Generating interest in a bricks and mortar car sale is a tough gig, what, with carsales.com.au and overall declining car sales. So, how did we cut through the traffic?
WE INFLATED INTEREST THROUGH HUMOUR
Our campaign featured Wayne the Wavy Man, popping up in ordinary domestic situations. The campaign was delivered via digital display, YouTube pre-roll, EDMs and social channels, as well as intense activity in the dealerships.
WAVE HELLO TO GREAT RESULTS
Sales were higher than the 2018 sale and exceeded expectations. This was recognised as a remarkable result in a declining market.
