Simon Harsent’s career has spanned over 20 years and 3 continents. Harsent is regarded internationally for creating authentic, compelling and emotive imagery. His focus on life’s diverse characters is captured in his portrait photography and film work.
Harsent’s work has been recognized at numerous award shows around the world including American Photography, Graphis, Communication Arts, PDN, D&AD, Head On Portrait and Landscape awards and the National Photographic Portrait Prize. He has had over 10 solo exhibitions and has participated in over 20 group exhibitions. His work for ACON is held is held in the permanent collection of both the power House Museum and the QLD Art Gallery.
He was awarded Best New Director at Adfest 2018 and was a finalist for the NPPP 2019. His work is marked by a confident style with international appeal and has been recognised by numerous awards bodies, including Cannes Lions, D&AD, Clio and The One Show.
